Tara Flandreau
Tara Flandreau is a violinist, violist, composer, improvisor and
teacher living in Marin County. She has collaborated most often with percussionist
Garth Powell and Pianist Matthew Goodheart, with whom she plans to release
a recording in the summer of 2000. She has recorded with John Schott, Glenn
Spearman, Marco Eneidi, Douglas Ewart, Donald Robinson, Jackson Krall,
and has performed with many wonderful improvisors in the Bay Area.
Tara's composition "Metamorphosis" for soprano solo, chorus and chamber
orchestra was performed by the Marin Symphony in March, 2000.
Tara also teaches theory and composition, chamber music, strings and
ear training at the College of Marin and plays in the Marin Symphony.
