Subject: [Didjeridu] JT 2007: Community Jam and Meditation

Greetings All:

I want to invite you all to the Jammin' Tree Fest's "Community Jam and
Meditation." It will be happening Friday right before the main stage
concert.

The idea of the jam was borne out of the musical experiences at the
Integratron at fests past while it was in Joshua Tree. On those occasions,
especially when myself, Per &  Eileen, Daniel Hamilton, Steve Sklar, Kristen
Autry, Johnna Morrow, and lots of other folks, a real atmosphere of
community came about. Some folks played, lots of others listened and
meditated.

This year, we're moving that intention to the new JT and inviting all
musicians! We're planning on two "jams" during the hour, one in the key of
C, the other in E. Didges are welcomed, but so are other instruments too!
Percussion, Native flutes, igils, feet, hands! Dancing is encouraged as will
be levitation :).

This is an opportunity to play with a larger ensemble (we have a "core
ensemble" to help hold it all together) and experience a music group
consciousness.

This is just a test to see if my new address is connected to the Didj List server.

As long as I'm here I might as well share how excited I am about spending time with all my friends at JT Didjfest this year.  Sorry I couldn't make it to In-didge-nous but I was taking the California Basic Education Test (CBEST) so that I can do some part time work this winter as a substitute teacher.

Looking forward to jamming in the trees...
