Heyya Brother Tom :)
Yep, I have one of those crazy tie dyes... actually my wife wears it now.
Got too small. But n ow I'm working on getting small myself, so maybe I'll
be able to wear it soon.
I also have a "just du it" tshirt from eons ago. Wore it at the last JT
fest. I was surprised that no one asked me about it. Ahh... well...
I was pretty bummed about the wondering didge project. I never saw it. I
guess, really, it broke my heart that it "wondered off" the path.
That said, I've been making my own wooden didges for a couple of years now
and feel that I've hit a stride at this point. I'm not as prolific as Ben
or Chad. My woode du jour these days is oak. I've wonderful success with
it. I have a couple pieces up at the Didge Store, (the local didge page),
should anyone wanna take a lookie.
Just finished an oak E-flat that plays better than anything I own.
You'll be happy to know, Tom, that the Integratron jam session vibe lives
on at the new JT venue! Not quite the same, but almost. This past year's
was a beaut and turned out very very well.
Still doing any ceramic work?
I'm heartened to see the Alice mob still going as strong as ever (heyya
Colin!). Glad, too, to see all the old names :).
I've been working here at the Discovery Channel (US) for the last two
years, mixing audio for many of their shows and commercials. A fair amount
of my didgeridoo-work has somehow magically appeared in a number of
programs and commercials. I have my David Hudson (custom crafted) didge
sitting on a cradle display stand right on the producer's work desk. They
can't miss it! I always get questions... and the inevitable demo....
I owe lots to this community. Its made me grow in ways that go beyond the
didgeridoo.
So... lots a' warm-fuzzy drones out to you all!!
Karl

Ahh, the original wandering didj...
It made quite the circuit here in Portland. I think there were about 6 or
7 of
us that got it. Beautiful instrument!
Brandi was hosting the wandering didj page at rounddoor - that still comes
up
in search engines if someone puts in my name. Guess that means I need to
finish up my webpage to get some fresh hits online.
Anyone else out there still have one of Dave Crowder's batik wild-hair
didjeridu player tshirts? I know John Madill got one, haven't seen any
others.
Also got a tshirt from the last Tuscon about 10 years ago, that thing sure
is
faded!
Wheeehaw,
Tom
