For those of those who are going, first, COOL!!

I want to invite didge brethern and sistern to play with the fest's "pick
up" ensemble.

This is patterned after the JT Ensemble, which, is patterned after the jam
sessions we used to have at the Integratron during the desert years of JT.

I've been asked about keys for didges. We'll be in D, for sure. We may move
to other keys, but D will be the main stay. Two keys we'll NOT be using are
C-sharp and F-sharp. Or as some with those infamous Korg tuner INSIST on
call them: D-flat and G-flat. <cough>

A few other particulars about the Gathering: Stephen Kent will be
performing and doing a couple workshops; Jason Konopinski will be doing a
workshop on traditional Top End techniques; and Jeff Lohr will be doing a
few workshops discussing his building techniques.

There are also workshops on West African drumming and dance; poi, or as I
call it "fire slinging;" and a workshop on body art... which sounds
intriguing!

See you THIS weekend in Ithaca!

Karl
