Karl...you da MAN!! We love yer stuff too mate;-) We still crave spending
some jamming time with you.......maybe in JT '09? But in studio would be
best.......if we send ya a ticket??
The didj in Hummingbird is an E, by Rob Thomas (Agave)...the one you see
Eileen playing on the busking video, in which I'm playing an Aspen by Ben Hicks.
I'm actually using the agave in Hummingbird, and yes that's me
throatsinging...........influenced by Sklar of course;-)
Me too...I wanna hear from ED....you out there Ed?? Funny how people drop
outta site....
Jeremy Donovan....one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet.....he'll be at JT
'09 so he says. I'm gonna copy this to him and see if he'll join up.
Wish I could help with ID'ing yer didj Karl....maybe try serious sticks or
ididj forums??

I LOVED your video, Per!! It struck me as kinda funny... that your (big and
low pitched) didges seemed to most emulate the (tiny) hummingbird's wings and
flight. Lush and lyrical. I have always been a fan of LogRhythm's. I love
your work.
Speaking of blast of the past: I'm using Ed Drury's 1994 didge booklet as my
main teaching text for a few students (shout out to Ed! Hey, Ed, you still
out there?).
One student, a 12 year old kid, tells me he's been listening a lot to this
one Aboriginal player named Jeremy Donovan. LOL! It may be a small world, but
the didge world is even smaller!
Here's a question for the group: a friend has lent me a (what looks like
bloodwood) didge he picked up in Oz. The initials on the inside of the bell are:
DA 27. Does that mean anything to anyone? Huge bell... maybe close to 5
feet, key of G.
JT 2009.... remains a personal priority for me. :).
