[Didjeridu] Blast from the past

Hey Everyone!
Javi here from days long gone by. Like Barry, I've been on since the early
days, but only since '96 or so, and lurking mostly of late. Still, where
the heck have twelve years gone?!?
I haven't been doing much with didj of late: after I moved back home to San
Antonio from Denver, I shook a bunch of didj-folk together and held monthly
jams at my house for about 2 years before interest dropped out and
attendance waned. Go figure. I played a bunch at the schools of my kids
when they were still in elementary. I still have the kids in their cohort,
now in high-school, who recognize me from 5 and 6 years ago as "that
didjeridu guy." I made a few agave didjies, and have horded a bunch of
stalks in my garage rafters with the intent of getting at 'em.
I've been playing guitar a lot more, and hooked up with a fun bunch of
musicians who jam informally. I did play my Hall crystal didj (thanks again
Barry!) at a jam-fest with a very talented young musician, and the crowd
loved it.
Anyway, I miss you all, and the activity of the list. But it's always fun
when there's a surge of hello's. So, hello!

Hello to all the other old timers. I joined the online didj community
about 1993 in the days of Toyoji and the Dreamtime W3 server. For a
nice trip down memory lane, check out the list of players on the W3
server (which used to be the ONLY website for didj
information...remember those days?)
http://www.dreamtime-didjeriduw3server.com/player_list/frames.html
The site is still online but doesn't look like it's been updated in a
long time (Perhaps parts of it have, but my listing is 13 years out of
date).
Barry
