Hello everyone,
I would definitely be a newby on this list as I've only been on it a year or
so. I was lurking on the list a few years back when it was a bit more
active. Great to hear there are so many didj players still out there even
though I haven't met any of you in person.
I live in Memphis and would have to say that I am probably the didj scene in
this town. Earlier today I played at a montessori school for a 4-yr old's
birthday. About 20 kids that absolutely loved the didj (& as always, the
one that covers their ears the entire time its being played :)) and slew of
other instruments that we played.
Tom: it sounds like you and I do very similar work. My fiance teaches yoga
and I play for her classes including a restorative class that we've been
doing for years. We are also beginning to do reiki and sound healing
workshops. Would love to talk to you about your work. As for a website,
check out ours: http://beingart.com. Its template-based, so everything is
alterable on the fly and we pay a monthly fee. We looked into having one
designed but I wanted the freedom to update it when I wanted without having
to pay someone everytime I needed to make a change. If you're interested I
can tell you more about the service.
Anyway, great to see so much activity around here and I thought I'd say
hello!
