you might be surprised to know that i own all 3!

have old LP with ozawa that i got used that reeks of mold and a recent CD 
with Nagano.  but yea, i guess that might fit the category i was thinking 
of. it doesn't have the same nervous (angst-ridden?) 
emotive quality that the austrians do.  could see messaien-camp 
criticizing the others as too self-absorbed.
