I admire the guy, but if you look through his site, including the photo
archives:

You can see that he was a really interesting and intelligent person. I
think the world is a bit short on creative, thinking individuals
especially in the U.S.
Ultimately, I don't think the sacrifice was worth it, and the world
being less one person like him cannot be a positive thing.
