Just curious, is the 'kid from Denmark' reimbursing you?

And how do these things work legally - let's say you
weren't such an extraordinarily nice and honest person,
just a more run of the mill human who buys stolen
merchandise, doesn't ask questions, and later 'gets caught'.
Does one have to return such an item?
