I'm not talking about a extra rider on renter's insurance, though that might 
work for some people. But I think the problem with that is it is only valid 
if the instruments get stolen out of you house and not if you are at a gig 
somewhere. State Farm has a professional instrument insurance policy which 
for me and all my instruments (8 woodwinds) comes to about $200 bucks a 
year. You would just need to ask your insurance company if they have 
anything like that. You then have to get all your instruments appraised. 
Which reminds me I need to to that again, ugh.
