1. I am not sure anyone has mentioned http://www.ubu.com on here. It
is a great site with tons of avant garde art, film and sound resources.

2. After the discussion about Matt Barney I think it makes sense to
mention his successor on the fourth floor of SFMOMA.
The Anselm Kiefer show is pretty awesome. Probably the best thing they
have had since I have been going there. They also opened the room with
Richard Serra's "Gutter Splash" piece and put Barnett Newmann's "Zim
zum" on the patio. It is as if the curators suddenly woke up or
something.
At least three of the major pieces in the show are owned by SFMOMA
which makes the curators seem a little retarded since they don't show
them.

3. The shows at Berkeley Art Museum are pretty good. I really
unexpectedly enjoyed the Yoko Ono show. The Semina Culture show is good
and kind of depressing since a lot of these artists never really got
going even though they had some great ideas, lots of hard drugs in that
scene.
There is still a ton of great work by from an interesting California
movement.
