In the final piece, a kind of "postscript" (an interview Bob Ness conducted
with me in November 1976), I recount how BELLS came about and offer a
"reflective" perspective "On Music Criticism."
"Hats Off" to Klaus Thiemann whose enthusiasm for the BELLS project
persuaded me to work with him to to put these pieces online. He is a great
"gatherer" and facilitator of all outstanding things musical.... Work with
