I know there are a lot of Sun Ra fans on the list...I just got this from
another list...

For your info, this is breaking news regarding a longtime drummer for
the Sun Ra Arkestra.  I have a full bio on Luquman Ali in case you are
interested in one for your files.

Elson Nascimento, Band Manager for the Sun Ra Arkestra, has communicated
the sad news that Luquman Ali, longtime drummer for the Sun Ra Arkestra,
left the planet on Sunday, August 19.  The Arkestra thanks those who
have sent notes and emails with their concern about Luquman Ali.  There
is no more information available at the moment.
