I just found a (very bad) online review of this concert, which was in Feb
1976, not in 1977:

Also on the bill were Steve Reich & Musicians, doing Drumming and
Salvatore Martirano improvising on the SalMar Construction.  It was also
the first time I'd heard Reich or Martirano.  My mistaken memory was that
these were 3 separate events -- any one of the three sets would be a
phenomenal concert.  Hard to believe that it was all one night.

This might be the best new-music performance I ever attended.
