bt did the soundtrack for tiger woods golf!? god, that cat really does
his utmost to redefine the term "selling out..." of course he has
oodles of gear, sponsorships, endorsements and one of those "i just
got out of bed, but damn do i look good!" haircuts while most of us
are rocking the dregs and doing our utmost to keep what we have
operational but still... eh, i guess i'm just a little confused as to
how snazzy, upbeat preset-addled techno relates to... uhm, golf ...but
maybe thats just me.
speaking of bt, i remember an article of keyboard magazine from like
2000-ought-one that featured a puff-piece interview of bt at his
finest. aside from talking about his newfound love of software
synthesizers (as well as how much hardware he has in storage units...)
and his desire to mix everything in surround from that point on, one
quote really stood out - forgive me, the actual article is buried
under 100 pounds of excrement from undergrad but it was something
along the lines of "yeah, im really getting into using stochastic and
aleatoric music in my compositions... like bartok tone rows and
stuff..."
