When I was in college, studying with professor Cope, I
actually got to interview Brian Terrell (BT) myself. You might see the
guy in magazines and be jealous, but he comes correct. He studied at
Berkeley School of Music with Doc. Richard Boulanger(think OLPC), and
still uses Csound extensively in his compositions. Not only that but
he got his start by sneaking into warehouses at night and bang'in on
the metal pipes with a bunch of his friends. His surround album
"Binary Universe" is definitely worth listening to.

The only thing stopping the new music scene from having its own
videogame is ignorance. You want to see a game sound track that
mirrors your image of aesthetic beauty try free and open source:

not so long ago, I even built a computer entirely out of parts that I
found in the street and free open source software; then used it to
create a video installion at the Lab SF. Its not a matter of money and
power, but rather creativity and information. I admit it would be cool
if there was some new music non-profit that went around recruiting
people on college campuses and helping them get started, a la paid
internships. But that would require making nice with those
20somethings, optionally with pizza.
