Bad for what? I will say I prefer music made for a video game (I
always liked the Zelda soundtracks for n64) over some clown trying to
get laid by making cutsey music.
I am also not going to pretend I live the in 1950s or the 1750s for
that matter. I prefer art made for for art sake and I really am a
person who does. I am just hardwired that way. I like hollywood
movies and other forms of entertainment but with music I like about
97% "art musc".
For visual art I like a lot of what is called Pop art like
Lictenstein and Ed Ruscha and I suppose I like music that is able to
elevate "pop" elements as well. Franz Koglmann and Fennsez come to
mind, both Austrians - I don't know what that says.
I don't know what my real point is, I guess it is just that relating
any art form to current culture is tricky.
