I can see that. I'm still working through it, and so curious about
other's reactions. It seems to me there's a certain emotional distance
in Lauba's stuff, which is interesting too. I'm sort of intrigued by
how it would differ from improvisations, or lead in different
directions because it's written, though some of his early scores seem
to say to give it an improvised feeling. Also interesting that he was
writing this in the late 80's and early 90's. I need to listen more
closely to think about the formal structures, too. Not ready to write
it off as bogus (yet). . .
