there is also somewhat of a self imposed art ghetto
that many musicians and artists dwell in. Constantly
performing for no or very little money is part of the
problem, i think.
i am getting some criticism from some people for
charging so much for my new series. the entrance fee
is high, indeed. But hte quality of the music, the
food and the service warrants and deserves a high
price. The musicians are getting paid very well as is
the chef and the 2 assistants. the way it should be!
And every event sells out in advance. Also the way it
should be :)
i managed to live out here for less than 10 K a year
as well for a few years. It is possible but it is not
easy nor much fun.
