I enjoy your music, I really didn't mean to have my comments suggest
that anyones music or methods were invalid, although I can see how they
were construed as such. I apologize for that.
PG:
No need to apologize - I didn't read anything of the kind coming from
you (that I can remember...). Me think you have rattled a few cages,
which is always good.
BT:
I began this thread by saying that I think that the current instruments
will evolve, and there will come a time when they are quite different
from what they are currently, and most likely integrated with
electronics, and stand by that assertion.
PG:
I didn't see that statement in the earlier posts - I take back my
question about your view on the evolution of instruments.
BT:
Maybe I'm wrong. I'm prepared for that too.
PG:
Just like Ava wants to get past gender, I want to get past right and
wrong (I want to get past gender too!).
Further, as I mentioned last night, we're all just talking (through our
cyber-keyboards), there's no reason to for any of us to feel threatened
by anyone's opinion. So what if we don't agree on everything? This
isn't the White House - we don't have to confiscate Barry's laptop
because we caught him on tape snuffing out contrabasses.
We can all still play music together, we can still avoid each other at
the supermarket; we can still send birthday cards if we remember to do
so; we can still go hear each other play from time to time; we can still
order papusas at El Zocalo or grind our own pesto.
Good night everyone...it seems like January is off to a rockin' start on
the ol' BA NEW MUS list.
