[NewMusic] acoustic vs. electronic?

This seems to be based on Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, a psychological
theory which suggests that people will address basic needs before they
address higher needs. From the bottom up, the categories are described
as physical, safety, emotional, and esteem needs. Creativity is at the
top of the pyramid with the "self-actualization" needs. In this
argument, a person who feels minoritized, (whether or not they are
actually a member of a minority) would need to address that at the
esteem level before creating abstract or avant-garde art
(self-actualization).

On the other hand, sometimes art is created as a reaction to a
deficiency at the emotional or esteem level. But perhaps that could be
still described as confronting those needs.
