Yes, we do, and for me, that's where the explanations should
stay. Unless the person talking is very charming and witty,
concert explanations are usually tedious at best. That's why
the symphony has those 'pre-concert lectures' - those who
want more information, get it, and the rest get the uncluttered
experience.

Another great idea is the Rova Improv:21 series, where the
whole point is the explanation, the music is only there to
illustrate the discussion.
