Well, maybe the cavemen and cavewomen who enjoyed listening to and making loud hi-pitched squeals didn't get as many opportunities to reproduce during cave times. (I feel you, cavepeople, I do.) Thus by natural selection we have more people who dislike those sounds. Matt
