were it the 20's we'd be teletyping each other that the mere existence
of recordings is ruining the music i'm sure.  now that anyone can put
out a cd, or post a myspace page we get to ruin the music a different
way.  would we really go back??

likely the recording as it exists now will be a historical blip 100
years from now.  it's obvious at any rate that the medium is in flux
and we haven't quite figured out what that means yet.  given that
state of affairs i can't think of a better reason to put out a record
(read: webpage with links) than weasel's:
