Now really, have you ever seen me try to make a serious post?????
PG:
I'm not sure how candid or comic your post is intended to be, so I'm
going to assume it's comic.
If not, I can't say I ever argued that I was "owed" anything. I was
paying rent - an agreed upon amount. I paid my rent on time. I was a
good citizen. Who wouldn't want to pay less for a place to live? Who
wouldn't want more time to practice and compose?
In all seriousness, I can't really imagine moving away from here. I've
lived here most of my life - why should I leave? I'll do what I can to
make the rent and I will do what I need to do in order to manage
financially. Hopefully we all learn some survival skills along the way -
it is part of the game. If I was from somewhere else, maybe I'd move
back and try to make something happen there. But I'm from here (the west
coast) and don't see any reason why I should leave just because it's
become harder to make a living out here. I'm sure as hell not going to
move to Gary Indiana and breathe toxic fumes and suffer racist attitudes
and severe cultural droughts.
I've got a better idea: why don't all the folks from Indiana get their
asses back to the Midwest and stop polluting the cultural landscape out
here?
