Yeah, this is always an interesting dynamic. For me, it just feeds the 
perception that "pushing the boundaries" is as codified and commodified 
as just about everything else these days. The image of "pushing the 
boundaries" has replaced any actual "pushing of boundaries." On the 
other hand, perhaps even the concept that there are "boundaries to 
push" is a concession. . .
