The Mills College Contemporary Performance Ensemble (CPE) will be
performing John Cage's "Atlas Eclipticalis" (with "Winter Music",
"Music for Amplified Toy Piano", and pieces from "Song Books") on a
program with James Tenney's "Swell Piece," "Erogodos" with Instrumental
Responses, and "Three Pages in the Shape of a Pear." The concert will
be on Sunday, April 29 at 3:00 pm in the Mills College Concert Hall.
"Atlas Eclipticalis" is for up to 86 instruments, any parts of which may
be played. We have several parts open and would like to invite
interested and skilled performers to come join us on those parts. The
Tenney pieces are open instrumentation, so any guest participants in
"Atlas Eclipticalis" are welcome to join in those works too.
