To PG and Sarah, et al,
I was using the phrse to metaphorically  mean that the Chron had gotten all the details correct. :-)
But I failed to realize how freuently that's not the case. [Mssr. Zelner can estimate how many times I've become gina robert in reviews.]

Reminds me of one of the books in  A Series of Unfortunate Events, where the kids are blamed for a murder in the local paper. however, their names are printed incorrrectly, so they're given a bit of a breather -- the paper's editors can't seem to keep the facts straight...
