hello there!
I was asked to pass this on. It's an online petition for the French
Radio program À L'improviste. This is a public radio program that
specializes in all types of improv (jazz, classical, early music,
free, contemporary, world music). The radio station is considering
cutting this program, and there is currently a petition circulating
from France asking for as many musicians as possible to sign the
petition against this.
The website link is included below, and while the majority of the
information is in french, there is an english explanation.
To sign the petition, you have to go to the french section of the
website, and where there are a lot of signatures below (names
followed by job description and sometimes country) there is a line
that goes:
Merci de cliquer ICI pour envoyer un mail (avec vos prénom, nom et
profession, en respectant la présentation ci-dessous), et signer
ainsi la pétition
What you want to do is click on the orange ICI to send an email to
the woman that runs this with your name and one word job/professional
description. The line can be found after the first horozontal line
on the page.
The program is really very, very, unique and it is one of the few
forums in which improvised music is showcased. If you could help out
at all (ie. pass this on or sign it) it would be extremely helpful!
thank you!
