[NewMusic] Save Internet Radio

For music programming the birth of internet radio has really been a great
thing. No longer are we listeners confined to the popular mainstream of FM.
So leave it to the US Government, to try and tax it out of existence.
Recently in the fake science blog is posted an article about new legislation
that would up the tariffs these stations have to dish out. I can get over
the RIAA suing students; if your listening to that type of music, then you
deserve to get sued anyway. But they have no right going after web-casters
and less well known artists. If I hear a song on SomaFM that is really cool,
then I make an honest effort to buy it, provided of course that it isn't so
obscure that I can't find it. This just seems like a ploy by the major
labels to silence independant artists.
