[NewMusic] from'best of' to 'film promo'

following on this discussion -- which thankfully has taken a positive 
and fruitful turn! -- on the 'best of' -- I'd like to put in a request 
to the kind folks of the list for any guidance and help they may have to 
offer about getting 'NOISY PEOPLE' out around the town and planet.

For most of my life my natural inclination has been to keep what I'm up 
to a near secret, so doing a publicity push is kindof a new thing for me --
 on top of that I really know nobody and nothing in the whole world of 
film (except for Steve Seid at the PFA, which turned out to be a good 
connection!)

But I'm into doing it, and really consider that when you've worked on 
something for several years, getting it around is really part of the job.

So if anyone has any ideas about promotion for the film, or knows people 
in the film world who might be open to just chatting with me in an 
informational way about how that whole scene works, it would be much 
appreciated. 

I've worked here and there to promote a concert -- one time events -- 
and it's a strange and different thing to have a 'product' that you keep 
flogging, probably for years on end.
