[NewMusic] Violin needed. . .

Wish I could say "violinist" needed. . . but the truth is I'm hoping to
borrow someone's violin. Here's the scoop: I've written a piece that's
going to be performed by Sounds New <http://soundsnewus.org> which has
a scordatura violin part, and the violinist is hesitant about retuning
his violin and. . . to make a long story short. . . the head of the
group asked me today if I could "find" a violin for him to use. The
re-tuning isn't too radical, and everything is flatter: the E string a
little under a whole step, the A and D strings about a quarter tone,
the G string a wide major second. The tuning instructions are on my
site at http://matthewgoodheart.com/septet.html. There's a rehearsal
this and next Friday eve and the concert is a week from Saturday. Sorry
there's no money involved. . . but if someone has an instrument that
they could loan to help out, I'd really appreciate it. . . a thousand
blessings upon you and your kin. . .
