Now that would be a useful sticky thread if this list had such things ...
financial arrangements at local venues.

>From what I know/remember:

ATA takes 60% of the door (used to be 50% - they've had a major rent
increase in the past couple years) and are fairly generous with comps

The Lab takes 50% of the door (used to be 40% - I think they've had some
financial struggles in the past couple years as well), reasonable when it
comes to comps 

Edinburgh Castle - takes the first $100

Luggage Store - takes 30%, no comps

21 Grand - arrangements vary on a show-by-show basis, but in general for
experimental music shows, performers get 50% of the door + $50 or 60%
whichever is more with a $50 mininum; guarantees are negotiable for touring
musicians. One comp per performer with a maximum of 5 per group
