[NewMusic] Gordon Mumma in NYTimes

I attended the concert reviewed in that article. It was fantastic - 
I had heard some of Mumma's electronic music before, and a
just-intonation accordion piece, and I liked all of it, but the
more recent solo piano music I heard the other night was
on another level entirely. Truly original - a lot of Feldman-like
spareness, but with a great rhythmic drive and occasional
outbursts of 'Klavierstucke'-style complexity. My composer
friend with me said "that's the music I wanted to write, he
just beat me to the punch". Exactly.
