Methinks this is more optical illusion pop science than anything  
definitive...

Being a base creature, I immediately focused on the prominent  
nipples, which
may or may not have got me on the counterclockwise track.  When I  
averted
my eyes out of my following embarrassment and shame, I noticed she was
turning clockwise in my peripheral vision.  I think it's a trap for  
the libidinous.
