- "Ego", that is another one used as a blanket dismissal. Personally,
I think my music is important, if I don't how can I expect anyone
else to?
I also don't think it is an accident, it is the product of the
teachers I had, the work I have put into and the collaborators and
situations I seek out as well as the other art forms I try to learn
from.

The common but unspoken idea that we should be ashamed of our work is
bullshit. We all need to care for our work because no one else is
going to do it for us. Obviously, you can go overboard, but I can't
stand this meek and shameful attitude so many people have toward
something they spend the bulk of their time working on.
The bottom line is if you don't find your own work to be worthwhile,
that is your right, but then you need to stay home and not waste the
presenter's and audiences time.
