At KIPP King Collegiate High School we prepare our students to live

KIPP King Collegiate High School is the first KIPP high school on the
West Coast and will establish the gold standard for providing a
superior, college preparatory, public education to a low-income
community. Every student will take AP courses. Every student will meet
the California A-G requirements and qualify to apply to UC schools.
Every student will graduate with the wisdom, habits of mind, and
commitment of heart to be a change agent in the communities they
serve.

KIPP King Collegiate is currently searching for our founding
Orchestra/Music Teacher.

King's Orchestra Teacher:
• Teach and conduct an intermediate 30-piece string and rhythm orchestra
• Compose and select musical scores for the orchestra
• Maintain instruments
• Organize, book, and plan concerts throughout the year

Required experience:
• BA in Music or equivalent experience studying and teaching music
• Experience teaching music to young people and leading an orchestra

Desired experience:
• CA Teaching Credential in Music
• Experience working with a large number of young, developing musicians at once
