yes that is what is advised. (and what i at least assume - i never
even saw those calendar-things on the bottom of the luggage store posts!
much more effective would be to take advantage of the "calendar is a
separate event" loophole and make it a separate post)
here is the welcome message you receive when you sign up for this
list:
Welcome to the NewMusicEvents at music.mills.edu mailing list! POSTING
GUIDELINES Only post concert events on this list. An "event" is
defined as any kind of performance that involves an audience. Please
only post an event once. A series calendar posting can be considered
a separate event. BAY AREA EVENTS ONLY PLEASE!
PG:
These guidelines seem fine to me. I don't see anything tight-assed about
it. I think posting something once keeps the whole thing streamlined. My
problem is that there have been several times that I post something, say
at least three or four days before the event and then it doesn't appear
until the day after the event. I know you guys are swamped with posts,
so I guess I should try to post a week in advance. I'm not saying this
ALWAYS happens, but it has happened on several occasions.
Finally, I'm thankful for the service!
