Teach Electronic Music at SF Waldorf High School
The class meets Monday - Wednesday - Friday: Approximately 12:50 - 1:35
(45 minutes).
The class would focus on electronic music, but also could include
recording arts. We have a little bit of recording and sound gear. The
students are required to have laptops to join the class and the school
has a few other mac laptops.so there's some hardware lying around.
Director also has laptop with protools and four nice microphones, a
mixer, preamp, etc.
The class pays $50 per class. I might be able to negotiate $60 an
hour.times three times a week. There might be other opportunities to
pick up a few extra hours, but not a lot. The class limit is going to be
somewhere around 15 students. I think if you have several projects in
mind, it would be a pretty easy class for you to teach - just come in
and supervise the students on their projects.you would also have access
to all the other classes (guitar, drumming, orchestra, choir) in terms
of having a group to record.even if it meant sampling those sources and
using our stuff to play with.
The location is out on West Portal and you can use public transit. I
sometimes drive, sometimes take BART to MUNI - it drops me off right in
front of the school.
Call me or drop a line - we have to make a decision about this QUICKLY.
The class would (ideally) start meeting on Monday. I will be there on
Wednesday and Friday this week from approximately 11:30 - 1 pm for
discussion, tour, interview, etc.
