Hey everybody,

I've been quietly on the listserv for a while now and with Jimmy's passing
it seems time for me to jump in.  I'm a grad student at Rutgers in NJ and
have been consumed with a research project on Jimmy for the last year. 
Finding out the sad news today was a big blow.

If anybody knew Jimmy personally or has any stories they could share, I
would love to hear them all.  Most of my research has been in the NY/MA
area so I would love to get some input from the West Coast outside of what
I've already checked out about his time in Los Angeles.  Also, I will be
in the Bay Area this summer to teach and play and will have some extra
time to do interviews if anyone knew Jimmy well.  Any and all information
would be greatly appreciated.  Please contact me off-list if you can help.
