  I got the original post early this morning (that I posted on this list) from a jazz radio dj list. There were quite a few guys on that list that chimed in that knew Giuffre and spent time with him. When I get a minute (later this weekend), I'll pass their email addresses on to you.

Finding out the sad news today was a big blow.

If anybody knew Jimmy personally or has any stories they could share, I
would love to hear them all. Most of my research has been in the NY/MA
area so I would love to get some input from the West Coast outside of what
I've already checked out about his time in Los Angeles. Also, I will be
in the Bay Area this summer to teach and play and will have some extra
time to do interviews if anyone knew Jimmy well. Any and all information
would be greatly appreciated. Please contact me off-list if you can help.
