[NewMusic] In memory of Paul Decker, 1959 - 2008

Dear folks,

Some of you knew my boyfriend of 10 years, Paul Decker.
While not a musician, Paul was a voracious listener and a fan of many
styles of music including ours.  He was also a talented photographer
who took some nice documentary photos of new music shows in years
past, inspiring me to begin documenting concerts myself.  He provided
sound engineering at many of my performances, most recently assisting
KFJC's Mark Laubach in creating his amazing quadraphonic recording of
the Flip Quartet at 21 Grand.

Paul lost his lifelong battle with bipolar disorder, taking his own life.
I found his body in his apartment on January 1st.
He leaves behind family and friends who will miss him terribly.

If you knew Paul, you can honor his memory by thinking deeply and
critically, laughing often, cherishing your loved ones, and really
*enjoying* music.
