Just started reading Sync or Swarm (Improvising Music in a Complex Age by
David Borgo that matches up well with this thread. Borgo is looking at
improvisation through the "Science of Surprise" a tern that mathematician
JohnL. Casti used to group fields of study that dealt with catastrohpe,
choas, complexity and criticality. He comes at it from being an improviser
as well as a scholar.
