[NewMusic] Bassist Paul Rogers on improvised music

Paul Rogers is probably the bass player I get most excited about  
right now, he is doing great things with his 7 string bass. But, I am  
not so into complaining or worrying about the situation for the  
music. It is best just to work on your music and make personal  
connections with musicians you like from around the world.
Improvised music shows no sign of stopping or slowing down regardless  
of funding.
I am in Israel right now for the third time, the first time I came  
there was not much happening in Haifa, it was mostly centered in Tel  
Aviv, this time I have been in Haifa for a week, and there is a good,  
strong scene here that came together in just a few years.
We had a good audience at a concert and two workshops.
