The other option is increased government regulation - forcing people to
change - I'm still traumatized by all the recent regulations about what you
can and can't take on an airplane. I haven't been on an airpline since 2000.
But it is an example of the American government forcing people to change
their habits.
Personally, I think the green/eco-movement is going to be the next bubble
economy, replacing the real estate bubble, which replaced the dot-com
bubble. I'm "looking forward" to seeing corporations and governments
funding, what will be in hindsight, ludicrous ideas and projects that are
based in bad science or are obviously ineffective.
