[NewMusic] Workshops and brussel sprouts

Theoretically these have different benefits for the attendee .. A goal of a
workshop is to educate, and the potential workshop attendee, at least in the
case of a fellow musician, would be to improve or expand their own practice
(for lack of a better word). Of course, figuring out how someone employs a
technique or trick can be done while watching them perform, but a workshop
should focus more on the attendee/student than the teacher. Whereas a
performance is all about paying rapt attention to the performer.

There are definitely musicians whose techniques/tricks/ideas interest me,
but that I might not necessarily want to see a concert of them performing.
