Join us for a fine concert featuring two sets of improvised music in the
electronic and acoustic mediums.

It's a pleasure to announce a fine concert coming up on Sunday with two
groups that should prove to deliver some fine musical fruit. I probably
don't have to do too much of an introduction for Tim Perkis or Fred
Frith - both extremely talented and accomplished musicians that
conceivably need no introduction! - Tim is one of the founding members
of The Hub - the first electronic music group to "link" themselves
through a computer network (and that was over 20 years ago kids!). Fred
Frith has been making incredible music with just about everyone on the
planet since the late 1960's, and probably appears on more recordings
than Ampex recording tape.
On the second half of the concert, I will be playing improvised music in
an acoustic trio with Damon Smith and Spirit - two musicians I have been
working with for years, but more recently we have been getting together
to explore the possibilities of the saxophone-bass-drums trio construct.
We're having a blast playing together and I'm sure our labors will bring
out some great music.
