Solo Piano CD - Repercussions - Release party

This one will be special - my first solo set in several years (i think
it's been 5 years) in celebration of my second solo piano CD called
Repercussions, available at the gig, from Edgetone Records, and
available in mp3 format from many fine online vendors  (eMusic, and
Itunes) as well. Come watch me play outside and inside the piano,
using a variety of tools and techniques guaranteed to stimulate the
imagination/frighten cats/create world peace/make you seasick - in a
good way! who knows when i'll be playing solo again? i don't do it often,
that's for sure!

And lastly, another special concert at 1510 8th St,with what amounts
to a working group for me - though we haven't toured much past Santa
Cruz. This will be our 5th gig together and if you haven't seen us
play yet, you are truly missing out. Featuring the fantastic
saxophonist from Germany, Frank Gratkowski, on sax and clarinet,
myself on piano doing my thing, Damon Smith on bass, and the explosive
and subtle drumming and percussion of Kjell Nordeson from Sweden.
We'll have a CD coming out soon documenting our first two gigs, so
keep an eye out for that one.

Paired with us for the evening will be a more subtle and subdued group
with Katsura Yamaguchi from Japan, Damon Smith on electric upright
bass plus laptop and Gino Robair on percussion and analog synthesizer.
all in all an excellent evening - don't miss out!
