Shape of Poison, for solo piano performance and electronics, mixes unique live electro-acoustic experimentation with cut-up gamelan, crunched-out Casio tones, and other uncharted sonic landscapes. The pieces documented on this CD were recorded live at a February 2007 artist-in-residence performance at ODC Theater in San Francisco, commissioned by choreographer Manuelito Biag. Intended originally for dance, the music creates an enveloping environment in which drama and movement play out.


Scott Looney's newest release in seven years since his debut recording "solo piano" on Edgetone represents an artistic crossroads in his evolution performing solo piano and hyperpiano(using semi-prepared elements/techniques) style as documented over these many years.

Outsound presents...The SIMM Series is a musician run/audience funded music series now in it's seventh season bringing highly professional and truly adventurous music that would not normally be heard or supported by mainstream society. Outsound is an emerging non-profit presenting organization dedicated to presenting artists by artists.  We ask that you contribute $10 in support of the artists. All Ages welcome, $5 minimum entry. Kids under 12 free.
